Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Next-Gen Performance Modes & Release Date
Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will feature three distinct performance modes on next-gen consoles, each designed to optimize the gaming experience based on player preferences:
🔹 Performance Mode (60 FPS) – Prioritizes fluid gameplay by lowering render resolution and optimizing graphics settings to maintain a stable 60 FPS. On PS5 Pro, Ubisoft will leverage advanced ray tracing capabilities to deliver its cutting-edge ray-traced global illumination technology at 60 FPS.
🔹 Fidelity Mode (30 FPS) – Focuses on higher resolution and enhanced visual fidelity. This mode benefits from ray-traced global illumination, improved shadow details, and superior in-game hair rendering for a more immersive experience.
🔹 Balanced Mode (40 FPS) – Designed for players with 120Hz refresh rate monitors, this mode offers a middle ground between performance and visual fidelity. While using settings similar to Fidelity Mode, it targets 40 FPS, with only a slight reduction in rendering resolution.
Additionally, Ubisoft has released 20 minutes of new gameplay footage, showcasing the game’s mechanics and next-gen optimizations.
